Questions
Good to know.
The five questions people ask first. The full list is on the product page.
Who is Quietdry for?
Adults who cannot safely get up at night: bed-bound, recovering after surgery, limited mobility, or dementia care at home. It is worn lying down, in bed.
Why does it need a pump?
Simple drain-by-gravity pants work when someone is sitting up, but not lying down. In bed there is no downhill path, so urine sits in the cup and finds the gap at the rim when the person rolls over. The pump clears the cup as soon as the sensor detects urine, so it works on the back or the side, and the skin isn’t left sitting wet.
Which fit do I choose?
Men: the standard cup, for a penis longer than about 4 cm (1.5 in). Men (retracted fit): a shorter, wider cup for under 4 cm or retracted anatomy. Women: a contoured cup with a raised rim for side-lying. Unsure? Email us; the 60-night trial covers one free swap.
What do I have to buy again?
No wicks and no refill boxes. The cup and both briefs wash and reuse. One small part wears: the sensor tip at the base of the cup, replaced every few weeks to months depending on use, and sooner with diabetes.
Is it a medical device?
It is a non-invasive external urine collector, a home-care product. It collects urine; it does not treat incontinence. For skin, infection or catheter questions, follow the care team’s guidance.
