Exactly what we needed for overnight care. Sensor starts the pump quickly, cup empties, and everyone stays asleep. Two briefs make rotation easy. Support was helpful when I asked about the descaler. Highly recommend.

Already using adult briefs?
Briefs are easy and cheap to start with. At night, when nobody can check and change them, they become the problem: wet skin, wet sheets and a 3 a.m. change.
Honest note:Quietdry collects urine only. If the person you care for also has bowel accidents, keep briefs for those. Many families use Quietdry for urine at night and keep a brief on hand for everything else.
Brief cost is a typical month of nightly overnight briefs plus disposable bed pads at US retail prices, Sep 2026. Results depend on correct fit; you have 60 nights to try it.
What arrives
Six unboxings, filmed end to end — the sensing unit, the silicone cup, both briefs, the tubing, the bottle and the charger, exactly as they come out of the carton. A charger is included; outside North America, contact us before ordering so we can confirm the plug.
The cup and the briefs wash and go back on. No wicks to reorder.
Soft · flexible · adjustable
The cup is soft medical silicone and the brief adjusts at the waist and the sides, so everything sits close without pinching, on the back or on the side, all night.
Soft medical silicone you can fold in one hand. It gives as they move and goes straight back to shape, so there’s nothing hard against the skin.
The thick rolled rim gives under light pressure, so it follows the body and stays sealed when they turn onto their side.
Four press-studs lock the cup to the brief, so it stays where you put it when they roll over in the night.
An extra-long Velcro waist tab and button side straps let you set it snug, not tight. One adjustable size for waists of 24 to 43 in (60 to 110 cm), or up to about 47 in (120 cm) with the extension strap in the box.
The tube screws onto the cup, so it can’t tug loose overnight. Unscrew it in seconds to wash the cup.
Not sure? You have 60 nights, and one fit swap is free.
Quietdry Night System is a soft silicone cup, worn inside a cotton brief, connected to a small bedside pump. A sensor in the cup notices urine the moment it arrives, the pump draws it into a 2 L jug, and it stops when the cup is empty. That helps reduce wet bedding, prolonged skin contact and overnight changes.
Scroll through one night with the Night System, step by step, the way it actually works.
10:30PM · BEDTIME
The cup snaps into the brief at four points, one tube to the unit, one to the jug. Flick the switch and a red light says it’s ready. No timer, nothing to find in the dark.
2:14AM · MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT
As soon as urine reaches the cup, the green ring lights and the pump draws it down the tube into the jug. Lying on the back or on the side.
2:15AM · STILL ASLEEP
When the cup is clear, the pump stops. No wet sheets to strip, no changing in the dark, and nobody had to get up.
6:50AM · MORNING
Empty the jug, rinse the cup and tubing under warm water, and put on the clean brief. That’s the whole routine.

A sensor probe at the base of the cup detects urine as soon as it arrives. The pump runs, the line clears, and the unit returns to standby — usually within a few seconds. There is no timer to set and no button to press in the dark. A manual-drain button is there for the very small volumes a sensor can miss.

The cup is medical-grade silicone with a soft, raised rim that follows the body instead of pressing into it. Side sleepers are the hard case for any collector; the rim is shaped for exactly that, and a small vent lets air in so the cup doesn’t trap heat against the skin. Four stud points snap it to the brief so it stays where it was placed.

The brief is soft cotton with a breathable mesh panel, a velcro waist tab and slim adjustable side straps, so it fits on in a minute and comes off just as fast. Two are included: one on, one in the wash. Both go through a normal laundry cycle.

A home urine-collection system for adults who need help overnight. A soft silicone cup sits inside a cotton brief; a sensor in the cup starts a small bedside pump when urine arrives and stops it when the cup is empty, draining into a 2 L jug. Nothing goes inside the body, and the parts that touch the skin wash and reuse.
Simple drain-by-gravity pants work when someone is sitting up, but not lying down. In bed there is no downhill path, so urine sits in the cup or in the tube across the mattress and finds the gap at the rim when the person rolls over. The pump clears the cup as soon as the sensor detects urine, so it works on the back or the side, for men and women, and the skin isn’t left sitting wet.
Those systems draw urine through a disposable absorbent wick that is replaced every night, which is why they sell refill boxes of 30. Quietdry uses a washable silicone cup instead, so there are no wicks to buy. The only part that wears is the small sensor tip at the base of the cup (see “Does any part wear out?” below). The pump and jug do the same job; the refill bill is the difference.
People who cannot safely get up at night: bed-bound or recovering after surgery, limited mobility, dementia care at home, or anyone whose carer needs a full night’s sleep. It is worn lying down, in bed. It is not designed for walking around during the day; for that, see the Quietdry Day Kit.
Men: the standard tubular cup, for a penis longer than about 4 cm (1.5 in). Men (retracted fit): a shorter, wider cup for a penis shorter than that, or one that draws back into the body, common with age or cold. Women: a contoured cup with a raised rim that seals in the side-lying position. If you are unsure, email us; the 60-night trial covers one free swap.
No — the brief is one size and adjustable, so there is nothing to choose. It has a Velcro waist tab and adjustable side straps, and two come in the box so one can be in the wash. On its own it fits a waist of 24 to 43 in (60 to 110 cm). For a larger frame, a waist extension strap about 10 in (25 cm) long is included in every box, which takes it to a maximum of about 47 in (120 cm), so there is nothing extra to order. The only choice you make is the cup fit (Men, Men retracted fit or Women).
The sensor starts the pump when urine reaches the cup, moving it through a closed tube into the jug. The soft raised rim is shaped to stay against the body when the person turns onto their side. Results depend on three things: the right cup fit, the rim sitting flat against the body, and the straps snug but not tight. If the cup does not stay sealed for the person you care for, email info@quietdry.com and we will help with the fit.
Yes. The soft raised rim is shaped for side-lying, and the brief holds the cup in place when the person turns. Fit the straps snug but not tight and check the rim sits flat against the body before switching on.
The pump only runs while there is urine to move, then returns to standby, so it is off most of the night. We have not published a decibel figure because we have not lab-measured one yet.
The pump unit has a 12 V, 2,800 mAh rechargeable battery with a four-LED level display, and the charger is included. We do not quote a runtime in hours until we have tested one. Charge it during the day and unplug it before the night: the maker advises against running the unit while it is charging. If it is put away for a while, top up the charge about once a month.
One sensing pump unit, one silicone cup in your chosen fit, two cotton and mesh briefs, a waist extension strap for larger frames, one thick-walled 2 L jug with a carry handle and lid, one 2 L drainage bag, soft grey tubing (an inlet tube that carries the sensor wire and a plain outlet tube, about 1.5 m each) and a charger. If you are outside North America, email info@quietdry.com before ordering so we can confirm the plug.
In about ten minutes, with no tools. There are two tubes and one rule: the tube with the black wire is the cup tube. Screw its white sensor tip onto the base of the cup, push the other end onto the IN nozzle on the back of the unit, and push the wire’s silver plug into the sensor socket. The plain tube goes from the OUT nozzle into the jug, through the hole in its cap. Switch on (a red light means it is on), then pour a little tap water into the cup: the pump should start by itself. The How it works page has a diagram of the connections.
Each morning, empty the jug and rinse the cup and tubing with warm water, never hotter than 50 °C (122 °F). Brush the cup and the sensor tip gently with a soft toothbrush, then let them air dry. To disinfect, wipe the clean cup with 75% alcohol. Briefs go through a normal laundry cycle. Wipe the unit with a damp cloth and keep it and its ports dry; never submerge it. Urine leaves scale over time, so once a month run a food-grade citric acid descaler through the tube and pump: dissolve one 20 g sachet of the Quietdry Descaler Pack in about 2 litres of warm water (or 10 g of any citric acid kettle descaler per litre) (not above 40 °C / 104 °F), put the cup and its sensor tip into the solution so the pump draws it through into the jug (or press the manual-drain button), pour it back and repeat for about five minutes, then draw clean water through twice. Descaler is not in the Night System box: it is classed as a chemical for air freight and cannot travel with the battery unit, so the Descaler Pack is sold separately and ships on its own.
One part: the small sensor tip that screws into the base of the cup. Like any liquid sensor it wears with use. The maker’s guidance is that it lasts from 10 days to 3 months, sometimes up to half a year. For people with diabetes it is 5 days to a month, because sugar in urine wears the contacts and the tubing faster, so expect to replace it often. If the pump stops starting by itself, the sensor is due. A new sensor comes with a fresh cup in the Replacement Cup + Sensor set (US$49). The cup, briefs and jug are all reusable.
Yes. The Replacement Cup + Sensor set is US$49 in all three fits: Men, Men (retracted fit) and Women. Each set has a new cup and a new sensor, the part that wears. The cup is washable and reusable, so after your first renewal you have a second one to rotate while the other dries.
Each cup is for one person only; never share it. Look at the skin before each use, and stop if you see redness or a reaction. Take care if the person is allergic to silicone. Keep the tube flat with no kinks, and keep the unit dry. For someone who is confused or has dementia, a carer should fit and check it.
No. Quietdry is an external collector and is an alternative to pads for people who do not have a catheter. If a catheter is in place, follow the care team’s guidance.
It is a non-invasive, external, powered urine collector, a home-care product category (US FDA product code NZU, Class I). It collects urine; it does not treat incontinence or any medical condition. For skin, infection or medical questions, speak to the care team.
Incontinence supplies are commonly reimbursed through HSA and FSA plans. Pay as usual and submit the itemized receipt we email with every order; eligibility depends on your plan administrator.
You have 60 nights from delivery. Email us and we will refund the purchase price in full, or send a different fit at no charge. Used cups and briefs do not need to be returned.

Runtime per charge depends on how often the pump cycles overnight. Each cup is for one person only; stop using it if the skin reddens or reacts. Quietdry collects urine externally — it is not an indwelling catheter and does not treat incontinence. For skin, infection or catheter questions, follow the care team’s guidance.
